On 19.3.1944, when the Germans invaded Hungary, Yehuda was studying in the Rabbinical Seminary which the Hungarian police turned into a prisoners’ camp. The students were forced to work in the camp. Yehuda Horn made contact with the prisoners, passed on information to their relatives and to various authorities and revealed their location. Many detainees managed to escape thanks to this information. Horn himself served in a forced labor unit, escaped and returned to Budapest.
Yehuda made aliya in the 60’s. He worked as an architect and resides in Jerusalem.
